Covenant Invasion of Earth: Phantom

After venturing out into the woods and finding his brother, Cameron brought him back into the house, carefully avoiding the dead aliens by ensuring certain doors were shut. As he was closing the blind he noticed that the alien ship was still floating in the air above the road. Once he got his brother playing the xbox again, Cameron gathered up his weapons and headed outside to ensure that there was nothing remaining on the ship.

Using what little strength he had left, he picked up the elite's extremely heavy Plasma Rifle and climbed onto the low hovering ship.

Dropping the gun briefly to withdraw his knife, Cameron slit the small Grunt's neck before moving on to the 3 bird-headed freaks.

One well placed knife throw resulted in a small explosion of a belt-held Grenade that caused a wave of feathers, flesh and blue blood to splash all over Cameron. The vile smell made him vomit over the side of the ship; just missing his cat who was walking by.

Cameron knew that the explosion would get the attention of one of the drivers and so he crouched using a weapon crate as cover with the plasma rifle aimed at the entrance to the pilots helm. The driver that popped his head out of the door was not what Cameron thought it would be. Instead of being the Lizardy Elite it turned out to be a giant ape like creature who began to sniff as if her was hunting his prey.

Oh great, I'm its flaming prey, Cameron thought in his head and dropped the gun realizing that the ape had armor to protect himself from gunfire. Pulling his knife off of his belt and reaching around the weapon crate to grab something off of one of the bird creatures wrists, Cameron knew that he made too much noise then he could be spotted and butchered by the ape.

The Ape turned towards the weapon crate, catching Cameron's scent. Cameron moved away from the crate slightly as the Ape kicked it away and out the open door. Standing up and activating the bird's wrist device to create a small plasma shield, Cameron moved in and began to jab his knife at the Ape who just stood still and laughed in his weird Ape way.

Cameron lost grip on the shield when the Ape struck the side of it with his fist. Cameron took the opportunity to jab the knife at the ape who had temporarily let down its guard; the knife slid across the alien's wrist with great ease causing smelly bright red and sticky blood to spray out over Cameron. The alien retaliated by punching Cameron in the stomach before attempting to rip his head off.

Suddenly a shotgun blast from behind the brute sounded and Cameron was sprayed with bits of flesh and blood as the entirety of the front of the alien gave way, releasing it all to flow as it pleases. Someone moved the brute out of the way and then Cameron realized that he knew the person.

The boy who had just saved his life had black hair, green eyes and had just turned thirteen. He took Cameron's knife and spun around and threw it at the door just as the main alien driver, another ape, walked out. This ape turned out to be less of a problem because Tom had managed to strike him in the middle of his eyes.
"Sorry I'm late," he stated refrencing the fact that he was supposed to be babysitting Cameron and his brother.
"You just saved my life," Cameron responded. "I really couldn't care less if you were early or late."

Tom then took control of the ship and flew it towards Jack's house in order to ensure that his friend was safe.
