Saga of Thomas Cane

It has been twenty-four hours since the initial alien attacks hit and the phantom was currently hovering over Coombeshead Academy who were incidentally at lunch. While Erin, Connor and Emily had avoided school for the day, Tom, Jack and Cameron had decided that research into the aliens had to be completed at school with their friends. Flavio Thompson and Sam Pearce had been invited onto Tom's hijacked floating space ship due to it being their job to monitor all other alien activity in the galaxy while Tom and Jack dealt with any problems on the Earth.

Connor was looking through the shelves in his local library for some books to help him make a project on local history. Suddenly he heard a series of screams and gunshots outside and the Librarian yelling for everyone to hide. Connor turned towards the Liberian as a glowing sword appeared through her chest. Connor grabbed a pen and threw it towards the sword. In a blinding flash of light and deafening explosion, Connor ended up covered in the sticky and smelly blood and guts of the Librarian and whatever stabbed her. Connor wiped the blood away from his eyes so that his deep green eyes could see again.

Thomas Taylor Cane is a 200 year old protector who cannot die of old age and can alter his age to fit to what is necessary for his current problem, this usually amounts to him being either 16 or 30 based on whether he is undercover or working respectively.

Erin was looking for clothes with her best friend in the Paignton branch of New Look - with a budget of one hundred pounds! She was in the changing room when she heard the cashiers scream; in response she quickly pulled on the closest shirt she could find and caused the door to fly open, ignoring the label stuck out the back of the polo shirt.

His friend Kieran Wells was stood in the corner hoping that no one in the class would need his help; he was watching Tom wondering how the shyest kid he knew was able to get along with the class so quickly. He looked around the room before kneeling next to the table to help the kid in front of him.

After almost being caught out by the Grimms the Tuesday earlier, Tom decided that it was time that he bring in backup; and they had to be those he trusted most. Tom spent the weekend creating fake identities for the five people that he was going to place into the school.

Three days after Tom's incident with the terrorists in E2 and Tom was sat in his maths lesson in period 3 on a Friday Morning. His phone began to ring so he pulled his discretely out of his pocket only to find that it wasn't ringing. Then he pulled out his work phone to find a picture of NCIS's resident forensic scientist, Abby, on the front.

It had been a month since Tom had been arrest, tried for murder and then released when the jury were brutally murdered by Felix. Since then he had gone back to his undercover assignment at Coombeshead and had managed to take down one member of the terrorist cell. Most of the monitoring system was updated and utilised from the room but today Tom was sat above one the english classrooms, just above the tiles that make up the roof; while upgrading the listening software of the four rooms on the south-eastern side of the building.

Emily was out in Adsa with friends when the idiots came running in saying aliens were invading. That was until the small brown alien wandered through the door. Emily's friends wanted to run but the only other door had even more aliens surrounding it. Taking advantage of being in the perfume isle, Emily grabbed one of the aerosol cans and snuck up the alien before spraying the can in it's face and then proceeding to rip the pipes that led to the creatures face mask.

Tom heard a thud behind him and turned to realise that the person who had snuck in had jumped down from the observation level. Gradually he heard the judge comment on how fast Tom was moving.       "What's wrong Tom," The Judge cooed. "You expecting retaliation for her murder."       "What? No. There are people in here who should not be," Tom replied as the observatory girl joined sneaking boy.       "No one can get in here," The Judge laughed.       "These people can," Tom retorted.       "And how do you know that?" The prosecutor asked.       "Because I trained them to be hidden, I trained them to disappear from all records for years on end, I trained them to be the perfect assassins, and now they are after you..," Tom replied and broke his handcuffs before jumping onto the bars of the witness stand and propelled himself towards the judge.

Tom was stood in the dock ready to be sentenced with murder. He still found it impossible to believe that a court date was found within a week, but hey, every judge in the country wants to bring down a Protector in order to prove their power. Tom's mind was wandering as he attempted to link a series of seemingly unlinked groups in order to figure out what his next step should be. Briefly in front of him he registered his defense attorney was trying to plead temporary insanity, but he was doing it wrong. Tom instead focused on the small things that would seem like nothing to the guards. His eyes moved to every entrance into the room in very fast succession, he even slowed down time a bit on everyone but him. Behind the Jury he caught a brief glimpse of a person creeping before he was distracted by the door to the view area opened.
