Camp Terror: Transport

After being rescued by Tom from the café, Gemma and Claire resorted to following his orders in order to prevent their cover from being blown. As the walked the hostages towards the NCIS checkpoint, the pair used their force field generating ability to prevent the terrorists from reaching them. As they walked through a strangely quiet area, Gemma turned to Ollie and asked, “So how come you have Tom’s powers?’
‘A few years ago we were in an accident…it was bad, very bad,’ Ollie explained sadly. ‘I’d lost a lot of blood, and Tom was a match for me, but because the accident involved around seven other people, who all also lost a lot of blood. We all had the same blood type, and I was the last one to be brought in, something to do with another car accident on the road that the ambulance was going to take. So they just flat out took some of Tom’s blood and started to pump it into my body in order to stabilise me.’
‘Is that it?’ Claire asked when he fell silent.
‘Yeah, the doctors were amazed by the wound suddenly healing itself in light of the newly added blood, but they had no idea what they had just unleashed into me,’ Ollie sighed. ‘Tom was unconscious at the time so all it took was the go ahead from our parents. I’m fairly certain on the choice he would have made, but I’ve never asked.’
‘I know which choice he would have made, the choice he would have made for anybody, but he won’t again,’ Gemma noted. ‘Not now that he know what it does.’
‘We’re approaching the end of what I know,’ Ollie pointed out. ‘I’ll go and do a little more recon, find out how much further we have to go.’

Once Ollie was gone, Gemma pulled her phone out of her pocket and put it to her ear. ‘You get all of that?’

‘Yeah,’ Naomi confirmed. ‘Keep him away from yourselves and the other passengers, I’m gonna beam him up here, see if I can get to the bottom of this accident. It sounds to heavily manipulated to just be mere coincidence, like someone is trying to play Tom right into their hands.’
‘Understood,’ Gemma responded before hanging up the phone before turning to her mother and explaining, ‘When he comes back, keep him away from us and the civilians, Naomi wants a word with him.’
‘Should we really be trusting her this much? She isn’t like the rest of us, she didn’t come back through the breach, and she’s been acting very un-Naomi-ish since taking command of those of us who were resurrected,’ Claire responded.
‘It doesn’t matter,’ Gemma snapped. ‘You saw what happened to Kelvin, Janet and Leo when they refused to play along, and I’m pretty sure they are still hanging there in the vacuum she created in the PPA, and they are just the three we know about. I don’t particularly feel like joining them.’

After finishing his recon run, Ollie returned to Gemma and Claire and informed them that they were almost to the checkpoint, and that the few remaining terrorists between them and said checkpoint had been knocked unconscious and were currently scattered throughout the woods. Upon him finishing the report, they slowly backed away from him, ensuring that no one was around him before a sudden burst of white light shone down from the sky and struck him. He gave a quizzical look to Gemma and Claire before disappearing with the white light.

The sudden change in scenery jarred his senses as they attempted to adjust from the lush summer green of the woods to the blinding white interior of the new location.

‘Welcome,’ Naomi smiled, kneeing next to him. ‘My name is Naomi, and this is my PPA, I need to ask you a few questions about the accident that gave you your powers.’
