Five Deaths to Trigger – Blood

After having overheard about the newly discovered body over the radio the morning after Connie had discovered it. Tom made his way into town to where the body was and used his NCIS identity, alongside the previous four victims, to gain access to the crime scene.

As he explored the scene he began to feel unease in two completely distinct ways, one of which was the usual temporal sickening that Jamie left around each victim, the second was that he was being watched. But when ever he tried to locate someone watching him, he came up empty.

Eventually he drifted towards the body and sees a glowing note on the victim’s body. As he bent down to pick it up, the coroner stopped him and asked what he was doing. When Tom responded that he was picking up the note left on the body.
‘What note?’ the coroner asked. ‘There isn’t a note there.’

Looking again Tom realised that he was the only one who could see the note because it had been pushed slightly out of sync with the rest of the earth. Ignoring the coroner, he grabbed the note which caused it to readjust itself to normal time, shocking the coroner as the note appeared in Tom’s hands.
‘How did you do that?’ he stuttered.
‘I just touched it,’ Tom shrugged as he started to read. ‘Tick Tock, time is running out,’ Tom read. ‘What the hell does that mean Jamie?’ Tom complained loudly before putting the note back onto the body where he found it, only this time in sync with the rest of time.

Meanwhile, on top of one of the nearby buildings, Connie knelt, unsure of whether to reveal herself. However, upon seeing her new friends poke their heads around the corner to find her, she decides against going to Tom and instead runs to meet them.
