Six Alien Ships: Loop

Having broke into one of the Vinto ships and successfully made it to the engine room without being spotted, Emma moved onto destroying the engine of the ship by aging various important looking sections to dust. However, what she did not expect was to encounter another like her, and she definitely did not expect them to be Vinto.

Having survived the induction process without running into a wall, Lisa stood in the doorway, her hair filled with streaks of blood red and her eyes seemingly pink as they fought the control that her powers were exerting over her. However, with the exception of her freaky eyes, she still remained the beautiful Vinto princess who most believed would take the throne from her mother.
‘Who’s in control?’ Emma laughed when she saw the state that the girl was in. ‘Monster or Deity?’
‘I am,’ Lisa snarled with two different voices simultaneously. ‘And I am no monster.’
‘No, you’re right,’ Emma warned. ‘You’re a million times worse. You’re a deity who is fighting for control from some wannabe Vinto girl in a human-skined reptilian body. Care to explain why you don’t just take control?’
‘Because he can’t,’ Lisa snapped as her eyes returned to rest as a simple green and a number of the red highlights returned to their usual blonde.
‘Feeling better yet?’ Emma asked as the entity began to attack her mind. ‘You made a mistake by giving yourself our powers,’ she managed as she fell to the ground in pain. ‘We’re born with it, we adapt to it. Faye and Jamie were already insane. How can a small Vinto girl hope to combat something that we can barely keep at bay?’
‘Because I’m Vinto, and I’m stronger than whatever the hell you are!’ Lisa screamed before the remaining highlights disappeared from her head.
‘Now that that is over,’ Emma winced. ‘Do you think you can stop me from destroying this engine?’
‘Like I said, I’m stronger than you,’ Lisa smiled before charging at Emma.
‘That you are not,’ Emma whispered as she suddenly put all of her effort into resisting the attempt of control by the entity. By the time Lisa made it to Emma, the pain had disappeared, allowing Emma to bring a sword of temporal energy into the air in order to block Lisa’s ball of temporal energy.
‘What?’ Lisa asked, shocked at the sudden manifestation of a sword out of nothing, allowing Emma the time to knock her backwards through the air and into the wall.

Emma then turned and fired one last ball of energy into the engine causing it to begin collapsing under its own weight as the metal aged to near useless.
‘A word of advice,’ Emma turned back to Lisa and looked her in the face. ‘Find the lab where the cure is developed, and take it. Oh, and run.’
‘No,’ Lisa snarled as she struggled to her feet. ‘If this ship is going down then so are you. I saw what that thing has planned, and I can’t let anyone with this power go.’
‘If you think you can stop me then let’s go reptile,’ Emma bated.
‘I don’t need to stop you, just stall you long enough for the engine to explode and take us out,’ Lisa smiled before using her superspeed to move across the room and crash into Emma who froze as she felt an unnatural energy resonating from Lisa, something that if left unchecked could tear a hole in the Universe.

She caught Lisa mid run and threw her backwards into the wall and pinned her there before asked, ‘When did you get your powers?’
‘A couple of days ago,’ Lisa revealed as she pushed off against the wall, sending Emma flying backwards in the process.
‘You’re still a baby,’ Emma stated, fear resonating out through her voice while the Engine reached a point of no return. Have to kill her before the engine explodes, Emma thought to herself as she utilised her four abilities to try and kill the girl.

To begin with she slowed down time around the engine, turned herself into a lion and caused an internal rain storm that threatened to blow Lisa up into the air. Jumping into the air, she used the air currents to take her towards her prey in an attempt to kill the Lisa before the engine erupted.

However, as her claw struck the side of Lisa’s face, the engine erupted in an explosion that tore through the ship and illuminated Washington DC in a blaze of red.

Much to Emma’s dismay, she was suddenly thrust back into the moment where she encountered Lisa for the first time.

To the amazement of those stood on the streets below, the Vinto ship erupted into flames before seemingly jolting back to its original position as if it were a badly animated .gif.

Meanwhile Tom’s, Angee’s, Emma’s and Geoff’s power lines all felt a sudden jolt of pain as if some part of them had just been torn away into oblivion.
