Camp Terror: Smash

Using both Erin’s and Emma’s knowledge of the enemy placement as well as some small recon performed by Jack, Tom had managed to plan an attack that would, in his mind, go flawlessly and also liberate the families currently being held hostage within the tennis courts. Some of his team weren’t quite so hopefully…

Ollie and Connie meanwhile had managed to move away from the entrance, allowing Ollie to begin testing out his powers to ensure that he did indeed have complete control over them, Gemma and Claire meanwhile had been dragged away to the small shop that was on the campsite, apparently under the mysterious orders of an unknown leader who foresaw the need for a fourth hostage situation within the campsite.

Hiking through the woods slowly, Tom and his small team eventually manage to come to an opening that also game a vantage point of Erin’s exit point.

Before anyone else moved from the cover of the trees, Tom zoomed forwards and took out the guards surrounding the exit producing a small commotion.
“Phase One complete,” he giggled as he found himself on top of the café, out of view of anyone who would want to kill him. “Your turn Cameron.”

Cameron and Jack had snuck around the other side using their separate abilities to remain unseen as they approached. Once in position they silently knocked out the guards guarding the only other exit using the “rocks against skulls” tactic, all while Erin and Emma moved up to Erin’s gap, before they snagged the attention of the terrorists currently terrorising the civilians.

Once they had been dispatched, four of the five of them began shifting through the crowds slowly, checking everywhere for potential signs of hostile activity while also warning people not to run otherwise they will likely be shot. Tom meanwhile, snuck off the roof and initiated a series of explosive leading up to the main camp where the terrorists had begun to train the grown men to fight for their cause…albeit, very badly.

After the explosions, the terrorists in the camp dropped what they were doing and ran to the site of the main damage to see what was causing them, giving the brave members of the hostages time to grab the weapons of the terrorists that they were being trained to use to begin gunning the terrorists down as they ran up the hill.

Baffled, the terrorists became disorganised as they struggled to maintain which direction was best to head. During the confusion, many of them were gunned down giving Tom the feeling that everything was sorted, as such he rushed back to his team to find multiple fire column launching people into the sky; and then the red blur, zooming in and out of people and launching some of them backwards.
“What?” he questioned completely bewildered by the strange occurrence that he believed he was the only person capable of causing. “All the other speed Protectors are dead…who the hell is that.”

Unsure of what to make of it, he too zoomed forwards and joined the hunt for any potential hostiles remaining in the court.

Once all of the terrorists were cleared out, his team met back at Erin’s hole. Connie was stood next to her sister, pestering her. “Anyone else notice the second blur?” Tom asked.
“Not really,” Erin admitted as Ollie suddenly appeared next to them, his hair bleached red.
            “What!?” Tom questioned. “How?”
“Blood transfusion when we were younger and both unconscious,” Ollie shrugged as his hair began to slowly return back to its normal black colour. Tom and Emma exchanged looks of worry over this.
            “Your hair…” Emma questioned.
“Yeah it does that,” Ollie laughed.
“Don’t give yourself over the power that much,” Tom warned. “It can have deadly consequences,” he added, causing Emma to turn away sheepishly from the group. “Who’s the girl?”
“Where do you want me to start?” the girl asked cryptically. “I’m Maddi. I’m Emma. I’m Emily. I’m you. Miss me much?”
“What? How can you be four people,” Jack questioned.
“Because those are the four people who looked after her most after she was born,” Tom guessed. “Isn’t that right Connie?”
“Bingo,” she smiled sweetly. “You can’t erase what isn’t mine. You can’t erase what I stole.”
