Covenant Invasion of Earth: Where?

Previous Chapters: – TomJackCameronPhantomEmilyErinConnorHunterHead and Crash
The team reacted quickly to the sudden incursion by a third group hostiles. None of them even paid any attention to the fact that their headteacher and gotten onboard the Phantom with Tom. Tom and Jack quickly took their places at the front of the ship and piloted the ship towards the crash site.

They arrived at the crash site to find that the craft had been brutally battered by more than just the landing...

"What the hell happened to that thing?" Jack asked as they lowered the ship down towards the ground.
"Don't know, but whatever it was...lets just hope it wasn't anything from the new invasion," Tom sighed his worry showing immensely through his voice.

Once they landed, they all clambered off the ship one by one, each of them clutching their chosen weapon close to their bodies, ready to react if needed. Slowly, carefully and overly aware, the team slid/walked down the banks of the crater created by the destruction of the house.
"Everyone be careful, we don't know what to expect," Tom warned to his extremely-out-of-practice team.

Flavio and Sam edged around the back of the ship while Tom and the others moved for the door. Sam and Flavio moved around until they found a shattered window, through which then entered the silver ship.

The scene that they witnessed upon entering confused and terrified them. The once-silver walls were a deep, bloodsoaked red; the floor was covered with disfigured bodies or parts of bodies; the doors had been smashed open, with one set being pulled off and wedged into an alien's head.
"What the hell happened?" Flavio asked, barely stopping himself from throwing up.
"Something far worse than what we could've done," Sam responded. "At least without our powers anyways."
"But is that even possible? You know, for there to be others with powers?" Flav asked turning around and sticking his head out the window.
"Why not, people could have created them based off of us," Sam replied as he began to hop through the bodies towards the door.
"Is anyone sick enough to?" Flavio asked rhetorically as he followed his friend's path through the deceased.

As they ventured through the hallways they began to realise that all of the chaos, no matter how random it looked, all led to one place – The Prison Block.
"What were they transporting then? Whatever it was, the guards never stood a chance," Flavio stated with worry in his voice.
"I'm not sure they were supposed to..." Sam started before trailing off.
           "What?"
"These bodies, if you were transporting something this dangerous, surely you would be wearing some kind of armour, instead they are wearing simple Zoombian uniforms," Sam finished. "Now I'm confused!" he yelled in frustration.

Meanwhile out the front of the ship, the rest of the team finally found the entrance. Tom moved towards the entrance only to be met with a thud. THUD. THUD. THUD. Tom jumped away from the door while also gripping his knives tightly ready for any threat.

At neck breaking speeds, the door swung open revealing doppelgangers of Tom, Emily and Jack as well as Tom's deceased daughter Emma.
"One thing! One bloody thing," other Tom yelled upon seeing the kids waiting outside the door. "Don't aim for the Portal, that was all you had to do!"
"Well excuse me for not being able to aim a Zoombian ship moving at high speeds while also ensuring they didn't kill me," Emma snapped forming a small ball of temporal energy in his hand. Her father formed a sword of the same energy while Jack hardened the light around him into a mace.

"Why are they holding weapons and not using their powers?" the other Emily pointed out.
"You've got a point," Tom agreed lowering his sword.
"Well you're not Zoombians," knife Tom commented, lowering his knife. "If you were you wouldn't have our powers."
           "Why not?" Jack asked.
"Some asshole Zoombian decided to blow up the house and the Power Core," Tom explained.
"Why...Why do you still use that rusty old contraption. A little tinkering and you can make it so that your powers are hosted within the self rather than on some central database," ship Tom questioned.
"Wait, I could do that! There was a way of taking away that weakness?"
"It was extremely confusing but at the same time simple," ship Tom explained. "It basically required you to think of the idea and then look for it. Especially since we did not have access to it until my Dad burnt Paris."
"So?" Flavio asked after he trailed off, somewhere in his own head.
"Basically there was a switch to turn our powers on through the device, turn them off, or render the device useless: that last option being for if the humans go crazy or if it is becoming harder and harder to protect it then you flip that and the device automatically delinks from us."
"If you rebuild another that is EXACTLY like it then you should be able to flip that switch. But it MUST be the exact same blueprint, design and layout; no big overall...probably best to avoid minor tweaks as well, you know, just to be sure," Emma added.
"Okay...thanks?" knife Tom responded. "Now where are you from?"
           "Universe 01," Emily replied
Ship Tom's hand suddenly shot to his ear as a high pitch squealing sound began. "Opps, sorry," Bobby added sarcastically. "My finger slipped."
"I hate you sometimes," ship Tom snarled.
"Now, now. It is not good to hate one's self," Bobby stated condescendingly.
"What do you want?" Emma moaned.
"Oh. Scan complete, we're in 17," he explained.
           "Thanks," Tom snarled.
"Now...If your house and Power Core were destroyed, how is your Portal?" Emma asked.
           "Also destroyed," Flavio chuckled nervously.
"Ah ha," ship Tom yelled excitedly. "Pay up, you said I would never need the Portal blueprints."
"Whatever," Emma rolled her eyes, placing the note in her father's hand. "What's £10 to a girl who doesn't like shopping anyway."
