Camp Terror: Shop

While the others remained back at the tennis courts, helping to reunite the men with their families, Tom, Jack and Cameron headed up to the shop in order to rescue the hostages that had reportedly been dragged away.

The shop was a small room tagged onto the side of the on-site restaurant that now managed to hold four hostages, three terrorists and a rather confused set of animals. Jack and Cameron entered into the shop using their abilities to disappear from sight while Tom stood on the other side of the door for a couple of seconds before flying around the corner and into the first terrorist, breaking his neck as his momentum suddenly changed.

The remaining terrorists suddenly turned around to see what all of the commotion was when their pal flew backwards and into one of Cameron’s black portals, sucking the limp body into oblivion. Suddenly the remaining two terrorists had a beam of pure white light burning through their skulls.

The four hostages suddenly realised that they were being rescued. Gemma and Claire attempted to cover their faces before they were seen but were too slow on the uptake. “You are both supposed to be dead,” Tom announced, producing a force field to demonstrate. “How are you here…”
“We don’t know what you’re talking about,” Gemma rejected while Jack and Cameron took the other two back to the tennis courts.
“Shut up,” Tom moaned. “And tell me how the hell you are still alive!?”
            “A side-effect of Matt’s weapon?” Claire shrugged.
“Right…” Tom nodded sarcastically. “I’ll just take that as your cover story for what ever you’re hiding then.”
            “It’s the truth!” Gemma yelled.
“You’re trying to convince yourself just as much as you are trying to convince me,” Tom laughed. “Anyway, since you are here, you can help us out with our little infestation.”
“Sure,” Claire shrugged. “What do you need us to do?”
“Not die,” Tom smiled. “I am going to need your force fields.”
“Okay then,” Claire agreed. “That we can do.”
“Good, because I need you to use your force fields to cover the civilians as we get them away from here. Take Ollie with you,” Tom explained.
“The red-haired kid with your powers?” Gemma questioned.
“Yes,” Tom responded. “There is a checkpoint down the road. I’ll tell them that you’re coming, just get everyone there safely.”
            “Yes sir,” Claire smiled.
