Three Years Too Early...: Incoming
The explosion worked out well for Tom. His father
flew backwards and struck his head on the wall. Rendering him unconscious,
probably dead; or close to it. Tom stood, baffled as to the cause of the
explosion until he sighted Emma. At that point he understood that the sudden
and unexpected collision of three different temporal energies resulted in the
universe lashing out in order to keep time intact.
Tom’s phone suddenly started ringing, forcing Tom
to remove it from his pocket. On the screen was Bobby. “Missile,” he warned
simply before his face was replaced with a map of Newton Abbot, showing the
tracking of said missile.
“Um…Has
anyone seen Jackie recently?” Tom asked uneasily.
“I
don’t even remember anything past Connie’s birth. All I know is that I woke up
in the middle of the playground,” Naomi shrugged.
“Maybe
our main objective should be to stop the missile before it manages to destroy
the school,” Emma asked obviously.
“You
destroyed the sheds?” he asked Naomi before turning to Emma. “You aren’t even
supposed to know you past. So how do you?”
“Something
else destroyed the sheds,” Naomi explained. “I ran from it and ended up
sleeping in Tesco.”
“Hard
to wipe someone’s memories when they don’t want them wiped,” Emma grinned.
“Okay
then. The missile is yours,” Tom sighed. “You can fly after all…”
Without answering, the two of them just began
manipulating the air currents until it gave them the ability to rise into the
air, and straight towards the missile that was barrelling towards the school.
As she flew, Naomi began pulling up random structures from the pavement, mostly
just the slabs at the end, but it also included bins, benches and bus stops.
Emma meanwhile began pouring as much temporal energy into a small dip that
rested suitably within the path of the missile, with the ability to easily ripe
it from its path and out of time.
As the missile approached, Naomi brought her
pillar up ready to strike the missile out of the sky. She brought it down onto
where she believed the missile should’ve been. Instead it simply disappeared
into Emma’s time dip which then sent a small shockwave out across the town,
knocking many people off of their feet and causing Naomi and Emma to have to
focus their entire attention upon keeping themselves still.
When they finally regained the ability to
concentrate on more than one thing, they focused their attention back on the
missile which had now disappeared and was far closer to the school than to
them. Both of them looked at each other as they realised that they had no way
of getting to the missile in time.
Meanwhile on the ground, Tom formed a large ball
of temporal energy and launched it into the path of the missile. The missile,
unable to alter its path, flew straight into the ball, causing a small
implosion that produced a sonic wave that shattered most of the windows in the school.

Elsewhere in the Reception class, a young girl
with unnaturally red hair was playing with her friends when the windows behind
her suddenly shattered into a million pieces. She turned around to find a brown
haired women who she recognised from her stolen memories. “Who are you?” her
teacher bellowed.
“My
name is Jackie. I am here for Connie,” she smiled evilly before turning her
attention back to the spot where her granddaughter was stood a few seconds
prior.
“I’m
not there,” Connie snarled while placing her hands on either side of the women’s
head. Without really thinking about it she began unlocking the majority of the
hidden memories within the women’s head. Within minutes the women was on the
floor, her eyes, nose and ears dripping with blood as her brain boiled inside
of her head.

Connie left the room shortly after performing the
killing, disallowing Tom and Naomi from discovering that she still had her
memories when they entered into the room upon hearing reports of a murder. The
last thing Tom expected was to see his mother lying deceased on the ground, her
face covered in blood.
