NCIS: Loop Holes

Following his confrontation deep beneath the town of Newton Abbot, Tom focused the majority of his attention on Geoff and Felix; thus leaving the undercover operation in the sometime-incapable hands of Jack. Naomi meanwhile babysat Connie, day and night, never sleeping, never wanting to risk Felix sneaking in and slitting her throat in the middle of the night.

For some strange reason Tom found himself staring at the contract he had signed with NCIS, he had no clear idea why he was staring at it, he just was. And to be more precise he was staring at a line of text that read:

You agree to not to hack into the NCIS, FBI or Homeland databases.

“Geoff is a terrorist. I know NSA is trying to track him,” he wondered aloud. “But they are prohibited from hacking by this piece of paper. Bobby, we’re hacking into the NSA.”

Ten extremely long hours later and he was in, barely. “You have about ten minutes before they throw us out,” Bobby warned as Tom began shifting through files on an extremely large number of terrorists.
“Thanks,” Tom stated absentmindedly as he attempted to locate his father’s name within the sea of names, while also completely forgetting that everyone other than him knows Geoff as Parsa.
“You might want to look under Parsa,” Bishop suggested over his shoulder as his allotted time struck the halfway mark.
“I’ve hacked into the NSA and that is all you have to say?” Tom asked suspiciously as he typed in the suggested name.
“You aren’t about to threaten national security are you,” Bishop smirked. “And besides, we all want him taken down, the only problem is that the NSA don’t play well with others. So if you can get anything from what they have and then compare it to your own stuff, we may just catch him.”
“And if I don’t?” Tom questioned while opening the file.
“If you don’t then you’ll be dead,” Bishop shrugged. “I’ve known you long enough to know that you will give your life to protect Connie: Penny, Faye and Jackie are dead. Naomi is protecting Connie from Felix. You repelled all three alien invasions. Geoff is the only thing standing between you and the thing you want most; for Connie to be safe, for her to be normal. When you go down, I have no doubt that you will bring Geoff crashing down with you.”
“Thanks,” Tom smiled as the file loaded revealing way more information than Tom had ever thought he would uncover.
“They know what?” Bishop exclaimed climbing over Tom’s left shoulder to get a better look at the screen. “They know everything on him. They know where he is. And they know where Felix is.” She added pointing to a small icon in the corner of the screen.
“They’re using them for something,” Tom read. “That is why I haven’t been able to locate them. NSA have been blocking my attempt.”
“Not just yours,” Bishop agreed. “They’ve been blocking everyone’s access. But why?”
“Really! You’re hacking into us now!” the director of the NSA yelled, appearing on screen.
“Why on Earth are you hiding Parsa,” Tom snarled angrily while Bishop set to work on writing down both Felix’s and Geoff’s locations. “Why would you stop people from finding the most wanted man in the world?”
“Because he is useful,” the man countered. “We can use him to take down other terrorist organisations that he attempts to join to.”
“Well his use is up,” Tom warned. “He dies. Soon.”
“And who says you have the right to do that?”
“I do! And the fact that he tried to kill me when I was eight years old!” Tom yelled, time in the room beginning to flow completely out of sync. “I was eight years old and he tried to kill me! And all because I was creating a safety net.”
“Doesn’t mean you have the right to kill him,” the man stated simply.
“He’s my biological dad,” Tom sneered. “That means that it is sanctioned. Protectors take care of their own. No questioned asked by the authorities.”
“You are not above the law…”
“I am when it comes to killing him. Because otherwise he will take control of everything. And then he will kill it. Because he hates it.”
“What does he hate?” the director asked rhetorically, not expecting an answer as serious as the one he got, or an answer at all.
“He hates humanity,” Tom sighed, time continuing to freeze, stop, accelerate and decelerate. “He hates everything you stand for. And he tried to kill me because I wanted to save you. So you should mind your own business and let me deal with mine,” he finished with a snarl before shutting the computer off.

“Got ‘em?” he asked the blonde haired women behind him.
“Yep,” she stated shakily as time struggled to return to normal around the room. “Who are you going after first?”

“Felix,” Tom announced. “I have a hunch.”
